Co-Principal Investigator
Sean Grant, DPhil, MSc
Sean’s scholarship focuses on the generation, synthesis, and use of evidence across the social, behavioral, and health sciences. He specializes in methods for summarizing empirical research and expert opinion on the effectiveness and implementation of interventions (practices, programs, and policies). Sean is a Research Associate Professor in the HEDCO Institute for Evidence-Based Educational Practice at the College of Education, University of Oregon.
Co-Principal Investigator
Evan Mayo-Wilson, DPhil, MPA
Evan’s research aims to improve public health and to advance methods for conducting health and behavioral research. He focuses on (1) evaluating the effectiveness of pharmacological and behavioral interventions; (2) improving methods for clinical trials and systematic reviews; and (3) developing methods and interventions to increase research transparency and openness. Evan is an Associate Professor in Epidemiology at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
David Mellor, PhD
David is a researcher and proponent of transparent research practices at the Center for Open Science. His role at the Center for Open Science focuses on rewarding transparent research practices. His background is in behavioral ecology, with experience in citizen science and undergraduate advising.
Lauren Supplee, PhD
Lauren has devoted her career to working on research and evaluation with the goal of applying the knowledge to policy and practice. Her research focuses on evidence-based policy, early childhood home visiting and other parenting programs, prevention science, and implementation research. Lauren is a Senior Program Officer at the William T. Grant Foundation, where she leads the Foundation’s initiatives on improving the use of research evidence and its Institutional Challenge Grants program. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lauren was Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Senior Scholar in early childhood research at Child Trends, and previously Director of the Division of Family Strengthening in the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation at the federal Administration for Children and Families.
Sina is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Indiana University-Bloomington. Broadly, his research focuses on understanding the dynamics of substance use epidemiology, infectious diseases epidemiology, and the intercorrelations between these two. Moreover, he has interest and experience in open science research. He has contributed to the TRUST study during the programming, data collection, data management, and analysis phases.
Kevin Naaman, MS
Kevin is a PhD student pursuing a double major in Epidemiology and Quantitative Inquiry Methodology under the supervision of Dr. Mayo-Wilson. Kevin researches open science standards in the social, behavioral, and health sciences and the challenges associated with summarizing harms in systematic reviews. He has contributed to the TRUST Journal project by surveying the obstacles and facilitators that journal editors face when it comes to adopting the TOP Guidelines.
